Sikhona, Inc. — Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

Sikhona, Inc. (“Sikhona,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects intellectual property rights and expects all users, partners, and stakeholders to do the same. This Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy explains ownership of Sikhona content, how it may be used, and how to request permissions or report infringement.

By accessing or using Sikhona’s websites, digital platforms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to comply with this policy along with our Terms of Use and other applicable policies.

 

1. Ownership of Sikhona Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all content and materials made available through the Services are owned by Sikhona or licensed to Sikhona and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Website content (text, layout, visual design, UI/UX elements)

  • Logos, trademarks, service marks, and brand identity

  • Platform names, product names, and portfolio branding

  • Images, photography, illustrations, icons, and graphics

  • Videos, interviews, documentaries, and promotional footage

  • Podcast episodes and audio recordings

  • Articles, press releases, statements, and publications

  • Downloadable brand kits and media assets

  • Software, code, systems, and related technical materials

  • Business content including strategy messaging, slogans, and internal frameworks

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Sikhona.

2. Trademarks and Brand Identity

“Sikhona,” the Sikhona logo, platform branding, tour naming (including but not limited to “We Are Here”), and related marks are trademarks or service marks owned by Sikhona, Inc. or its licensors.

You may not use Sikhona trademarks or branding in any manner that:

  • Creates confusion about your relationship with Sikhona

  • Suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without permission

  • Misrepresents Sikhona’s identity, services, or authority

  • Damages Sikhona’s brand, reputation, or goodwill

To request permission to use Sikhona trademarks, please contact Sikhona (see Section 10).

3. Copyright in Sikhona Content

All Sikhona content is protected under copyright laws, including international copyright standards where applicable.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publish, transmit, or create derivative works from Sikhona copyrighted materials without prior written authorization, except where expressly permitted by applicable law.

4. Permitted Use (Limited License)

Sikhona grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal or internal business evaluation purposes only.

You may:
✅ View website pages and content for lawful purposes
✅ Share links to Sikhona pages through standard web sharing methods
✅ Download press materials or brand assets only when explicitly made available for download (and only for approved use)

You may not:
❌ Use Sikhona content for commercial resale
❌ Repost Sikhona videos, podcasts, or written content as your own
❌ Modify Sikhona branding, logos, or trademarks
❌ Use Sikhona materials in a misleading or defamatory way

5. Media Center / Brand Asset Use

If Sikhona provides downloadable brand assets (logos, photos, media kits, videos, etc.), those assets may be used only in accordance with Sikhona’s approved brand guidelines, and only for legitimate purposes such as:

  • News reporting and editorial coverage

  • Press and media publications referencing Sikhona

  • Approved partnership announcements

  • Event promotion where Sikhona is an official participant or organizer

Brand assets may not be used to:

  • Create fraudulent associations or endorsements

  • Promote products, services, or campaigns unrelated to Sikhona

  • Misrepresent Sikhona’s mission or platform operations

  • Modify or distort Sikhona trademarks

  • Imply Sikhona sponsorship without written consent

Sikhona reserves the right to revoke permission for brand asset use at any time.

6. Podcast, Video, and Audio Content

Sikhona’s audio and video content—including the Sikhona Podcast, interviews, and multimedia storytelling—may be protected through copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights.

You may:
✅ Stream content through authorized channels
✅ Share official episode links or platform links

You may not:
❌ Download, replicate, or republish full episodes without permission
❌ Use Sikhona audio clips in advertisements without authorization
❌ Remix Sikhona content into derivative works for commercial use
❌ Remove or alter credits, branding, or copyright notices

If you wish to request permission to use Sikhona podcast clips for media, interviews, or documentaries, contact us using Section 10.

7. User-Submitted Content

If you submit content to Sikhona through contact forms, applications, inquiries, event participation, or other submissions, you remain the owner of your content unless otherwise agreed in writing.

However, by submitting content, you grant Sikhona permission to use and store the content as necessary to:

  • Respond to your inquiry

  • Operate and improve our Services

  • Conduct recruiting, partnerships, or investor communications

  • Document participation and events (where applicable)

You represent that you have the rights to submit content and that your submission does not violate third-party intellectual property rights.

8. Copyright Infringement Claims

Sikhona respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes infringement, you may submit a notice to Sikhona.

Your notice should include:

  • Your name and contact details

  • A description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed

  • The URL or location of the content in question

  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized

  • A statement that your notice is accurate and submitted under penalty of perjury

  • Your physical or electronic signature

Sikhona may remove or restrict access to allegedly infringing content, as appropriate.

9. Enforcement

Sikhona reserves the right to enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent permitted by law. Misuse of Sikhona intellectual property may result in:

  • Removal of content

  • Suspension or termination of access

  • Legal notices, takedown requests, and formal demands

  • Claims for damages and injunctive relief where applicable
